A NEW HUB FOR STUDENTS

As Ivy Tech Indy: Reimagined for the Future renovations transform the campus, Library and Tutoring Services found a new, temporary home in the North Meridian Center. The centralized space gives students easier access to academic support and a place to study, learn, and grow. Check it out.

IVY TECH WELCOMES ITS FIRST FULBRIGHT SCHOLAR

Dr. Chien-Yao Sun made history as Ivy Tech Indianapolis’ first Fulbright Scholar guest lecture, sharing insights on global citizenship and the power of education to bridge cultures. Hosted by Professor Gerald Maki, his interdisciplinary talks inspired students and faculty alike to think beyond borders.

STUDENT-FOCUSED INITIATIVES AMPLIFY VOICE & CLARITY PATHS

The School of Arts, Sciences & Education streamlined learning with clear course guides, as featured in Ivy Tech’s new IvyInsights video series, while the new Student Voices initiative began sharing powerful, first-person accounts from our students. Read the first-ever Student Voices.

$50K IN 24 HOURS: IVY INDY BREAKS RECORDS FOR STUDENT SUPPORT

During the third annual Ivy Tech Day, the Indianapolis campus community came together to raise over $50,000, fueling scholarships, programs, and dreams. Each dollar represents an investment in student success and a stronger future for all. Thank you for all your support!

FROM INDY TO SOUTH SUDAN: BUILDING VEHICLES, BUILDING FUTURES

Diesel instructor Chris Cox took Ivy Indy’s hands-on learning halfway across the world, teaching students in South Sudan to build Basic Utility Vehicles (BUVs) that transform access to education, healthcare, and opportunity. TWO TITANS RETIRE

Dr. Myra Hart and Chef Jeff Bricker, each a pillar of excellence in their fields, retired after decades of shaping students, programs, and futures at Ivy Tech. Their leadership, mentorship, and passion have left an indelible mark on Ivy Tech Indianapolis.

FROM KITCHEN CLASSROOMS TO COMPASSIONATE CARE

July served up a double helping of excellence. Ivy Tech and A Longer Table (formerly known as The Patachou Foundation) launched a new culinary certification pathway, giving high school students a head start in the kitchen and in life. Meanwhile, nursing instructor Tasha Cohee earned national recognition as a top 3 finalist for the DAISY Award, honoring her compassion and excellence in teaching. Read her story.

CONNECTING JOB SEEKERS TO NEW POSSIBILITIES

More than 100 employers and community partners joined the 14th annual Indianapolis Job & Resource Fair, co-hosted by Congressman André Carson and Ivy Tech Indianapolis, connecting hundreds of job seekers to new possibilities. The event showcased Ivy Indy’s role as the bridge between education and career success. Read more.

IFD DONATES FIRE ENGINES TO IGNITE STUDENT TRAINING

The Indianapolis Fire Department donated two fire engines and essential training equipment to Ivy Tech’s public safety programs. The gift enhances real-world learning for students preparing to serve their communities with skill and courage. See the impact.

From Culinary Instructor Daniel McDonald’s victory at the World Food Championships to the Distinguished Alumni and Benefactor Awards, October was all about excellence. Each recognition celebrated the people who make Ivy Tech Indy shine. Meet the honorees.

COOKING FOR A CAUSE WITH THE MOZEL SANDERS FOUNDATION

For the second year, our campus partnered with the Mozel Sanders Foundation to prepare thousands of meals on Thanksgiving for Indianapolis residents who otherwise not have had a warm dinner. Nearly 1,700 volunteers came together in our Conference Center and Culinary Institute to help fulfill the foundation’s 50-year mission. Check out the photos and read more about the impactful day.

CIRCLE OF GIVING BRINGS THE YEAR FULL CIRCLE

From Circle of Ivy’s annual celebration to the Bear Gifts program, December wrapped up 2025 in true Ivy Tech fashion—by giving back. Together, the campus proved that generosity is the most powerful tradition of all. See the impact of IvyCares’ annual Bear Gifts program for families in need, and the celebration of Circle of Ivy award winners granted money to spearhead initiatives to improve student support.
