DEAR FRIENDS OF IVY TECH INDIANAPOLIS

As we turn the page into a new year, I’m filled with gratitude and excitement. Gratitude for the remarkable progress we’ve made together, and excitement for the next chapter that’s already taking shape. The middle of our academic year always feels like a heartbeat moment. We can see how far we’ve come, yet there’s still so much ahead.

Looking back on 2025, it’s clear there was nothing ordinary about Ivy Tech Indianapolis. From record-breaking fundraising on Ivy Tech Day to the generosity of our partners who donated fire engines, mentored students, and created new career pathways, our campus once again showed that great things happen when this community comes together. We welcomed our first Fulbright Scholar, amplified our students’ voices in new ways, and celebrated our Culinary and Nursing programs as they shone both here at home and around the world.

This issue of Ivy Indy captures that spirit beautifully. You’ll read about Chef G, whose legacy lives on through a scholarship that opens doors for future culinary students. You’ll step inside My Sugar Pie, where mentorship and career dreams are baked fresh every day. You’ll meet alumni like Tiana, whose story reminds us that growth and grace often begin in a single classroom. And you’ll see how our global learning programs continue to connect Ivy Tech Indy to the broader world.

We’re also reimagining the spaces where these stories begin. Through Ivy Tech Indy: Reimagined for the Future, our downtown campus is transforming to meet the needs of tomorrow’s students. I couldn’t be more thrilled that to kick off 2026, we opened the renewed Illinois Fall Creek Center, welcoming our School of Nursing and School of Health Sciences faculty, staff, and students into inspiring new spaces filled with advanced labs and close connections to clinical partners. This is just the first of many milestones ahead as we build a campus designed for innovation and community.

Every story in this magazine - every student, partner, and accomplishment - reminds me why I love this work. Ivy Tech Indianapolis isn’t just a college. It’s a living, learning community where transformation happens every single day.
